Health & Safety Audit Certificate

What is an OHSMS Audit?

An Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) audit is a structured review that checks how effectively your organization’s health and safety processes are implemented, how well risks are managed, and how workplace health and safety are promoted.

Common recognized certificates include:

  • COR (Certificate of Recognition)

  • SECOR (Small Employers Certificate of Recognition)

  • Safety Management Assessment (e.g., Sarnia-Lambton IEC certificate)

  • ANSI Z10, CSA Z1000, DNV ISRS, OHSAS 18001 (PDF guide), ISO 45001, or equivalent

Evaluation Criteria - Section 2.1: OHSMS Certification

Having a Health & Safety Audit Certificate is not required for approval, but it can boost your score in Section 2.1: OHSMS Certification:

  • 50 points - Valid Health & Safety Audit Certificate

  • 25 points - Letter of Intent

A higher score can improve your overall evaluation and strengthen your profile with clients.

You can find the document upload option in the Documents section under the ContractorXchange client option.
